The Galloway Consort - 15th to 17th-century music for a variety of instruments and voices
Edinburgh Renaissance Band - specialising in the performance of music from the period 1200 - 1600. Renaissance and Medieval music from many parts of Europe, including the important Scottish repertoire. The Band is noted for the wide variety of instruments used - a selection from over 100.
Coronach - All the mystery and passion of Scotland's ancient musical heritage evoked by the voices and authentic instruments of this Highland consort
Fires of Love - A professional Early Music quartet based in Scotland, specialising in innovative programmes of Renaissance and early Baroque chamber music. Fires of Love combines soprano and baritone voices with a stunning array of instruments.
Squair Mile Consort - dedicated to the great music composed for the viola da gamba (viol) from the 16th to the late 17th century - music for between two and seven viols by composers such as William Byrd, John Dowland, Orlando Gibbons, John Jenkins, William Lawes and Henry Purcell, as well as songs for one voice and viols, music for viols and pipe organ and solo music by the French composers Sainte-Colombe and Marin Marais.
Gaïta is a group based in Edinburgh dedicated to Medieval Music. They are performers of medieval music and early dance, produce books of medieval music , and design and build medieval instruments .Soloists

Queen Margaret University Baroque Ensemble are seeking amateur musicians to join our new staff/student ensemble. Minimum level, Grade 4. This group has a mixture of period and modern instruments, but it is hoped to become completely 'period' in instrumentation in the future. Repertoire: Monteverdi, Purcell, Lully, etc. All relevant instruments considered. Two concerts per year, December and March, preceded by ten rehearsals, currently on Mondays at 5.15pm, but that time could be revised to suit the majority.
