This intermediate- to advanced-level program motivates pupils to explore individual how to draw and paint the human figure. Focusing on action and motion of a model's present as a starting point, students make use of line, shape and tone to state the human form in their own special design. Try out abstract types and combining media such collage, putting focus on taking into consideration the entire composition. A nude model will pose every class.
Note: Elective for Art & the innovative Process certification. Necessity: "Introduction to Painting" (ART 40180). Model fee incorporated into program charge. Minors must have department permission to sign up. Bring to 1st course meeting any acrylic or oil paint, brushes, pencils, pens, markers and attracting paper shields you have as well as 2 artwork areas, 1 roll report towels, paper palette and container for liquid or solvent.
