It is hoped to populate this page with essays on all aspects of Early Music - performance practice, historical background, biographies, etc. Essays can be stored on this site or linked from other sites. Contributions to Rob MacKillop in the first instance.

I have started with a few of my own, to get the ball rolling, but PLEASE add more asap, or I might well be accused of self-promotion. Heaven forbid! It would be nice to have people returning to this site for reasons other than just finding out when the next meeting is. Your contributions are essential to that aim. It would be particularly useful to have a series of Beginner's Guides to various instruments - how to buy, what to look for, technique, repertoire, tutor books, etc.
